In response to the COVID-19 disruptions in education, Professor Larson and the BLOSSOMS team are creating a series of challenges for young learners. These challenges require learners to:
- Look at and think about two MIT-produced BLOSSOMS video lessons,
- Try to answer questions posed within the videos
- Write a short essay addressing the new questions we pose here.
Total estimated time to do all these things: An afternoon!
Send Professor Larson and the MIT BLOSSOMS team your short (<300 words) essay and they will respond with comments and feedback! If enough interest is shown for Week 1 the BLOSSOMS team will develop other weekly projects on different topics in science, mathematics and engineering!
Cost? Zero! Benefits to you – learning new things in STEM, not by rote memorization from lectures and textbooks, but by your own active learning, discovery, refection and analysis!
